BILDET BANDEN (PIRATE WOMEN*)

Tribute to the radical-feminist group Rote Zora and their slogan "Frauen, bildet Banden!" ("Women, build gangs!"). The artist took the photo in her studio. In 2020 she painted this wall with 49 names of female pirates who really existed in history. The background of the photo shows a collection of words of piratic characteristics with a male connotation, which of course describe characteristics of women* as well.

Hommage an die radikal-feminstische Gruppierung Rote Zora und deren Slogan "Frauen, bildet Banden!". Das Foto hat die Künstlerin in ihrem Atelier aufgenommen. Die Atelierwand hat sie 2020 mit 49 Namen von Piratinnen beschriftet, die wirklich in der Geschichte existiert haben.  Fotohintergrund ist eine Wortsammlung von piratischen Eigenschaften, die männlich konnotiert sind, jedoch selbstverständlich ebenso Charakteristiken von Frauen* beschreiben.
